You may have seen in the previews for “Everything Everything” that Amandla Stenberg’s character, Maddy, has a life-threatening illness that has led her mother, played by Anika Noni Rose, to keep her locked up inside. While it may be working for her health, it has kept her completely isolated from the outside world, making her social life non-existent.
In our sit down with Stenberg, she talked about the mother-daughter bond in the film, the tendency for moms to be overprotective and how she eventually learns to trust her.
Check it out in the video above.
